My name is Lauren and I'm the girl behind this blog. I'm a a stay at home mom to our two daughters, Riley and Caroline. Most importantly, I'm a born again Christian. When I was a little girl, I put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ to save me from my sins. As he promised in he Bible, he did just that. I made the decision to start serving him with my life when I was about 13 years old.

In December of 2006, after lots of "waiting, " I married my best friend, David. We have thoroughly enjoyed married life and enjoyed growing even closer to one another during our years as husband and wife. My husband is the youth pastor at our church in Central Florida.

Our first daughter, Riley Grace, joined our family on March 23, 2010. She is a happy little girl and has put many smiles on our faces. Caroline Elizabeth was born March 11, 2012. She is following in the footsteps of her big sister by being ridiculously cute and sweet. We are smitten all over again. We can't wait to watch Riley and Caroline grow into the best of friends.

I have always loved crafts of all types. I've tried various ones without much success. Finally, in 2010, with hopes of making a blanket for Riley, I started crocheting. While I still haven't finished making her a blanket (I do have a purple one on my hook right now, though), crocheting is finally the craft that I am good at. When I started making hats for Riley, friends and family members started placing "orders" so I decided to give selling my items a try. I started Daisy Cottage Designs on Etsy and have enjoyed selling more hats than I ever imagined possible.

That's who I am. This blog is intended to help us remember life right now. I have so many things I wish I had blogged about through the past couple years. I would love to be able to go back and read all the memories from two or three years ago. Hopefully in the future, this blog will be full of fun stories and humorous moments from our lives.
